What’s the relation in your mind between cyber security and product?
Yeah I was trying to figure that out too
Do you currently work as a cyber security business analyst/project manager? I'm confused about the cyber reference. Though I believe infosec is one of many skills a product manager should understand.
No i dont, but the reference was to know if there is a need to have a cyber skill if i am planning to expand my career in the cloud workload protection platform market since i see some worthy opportunities where they appreciate some one with data skills and business skills
Thanks for commenting,
Recently read an article where i got to know that there are products focussing on prevention of certain cyber kill chain components . These products are offered at the cloud workload protection platform. So in order to focus on such products i thought the skill would be good to have since i come a paas background i can expand my thoughts. Trying to catch a focus point here any suggestion about the approach is appreciated
Look at job posts for roles you're interested in. Those typically should help you understand what is needed to know and learn. I'm not a PM in cloud (though we use a cloud stack), but I do expect my developers and PMs to understand enough security to catch issues as they come up. I don't expect them to be experts, but have fundamental knowledge to design things properly and prevent common security vulnerabilities.
