Is there a particular reason for taking the CFA? Is it for a career pivot? If so, an MBA or MS could open more doors for you IMHO.

I’d say MBA much easier and transferable as a data analyst. Unless your trying to break into investment strategy (asset allocation, CMAs, consulting advisors) or trying to be an equity analyst with an end goal of working at a fund it’s not worth. The process is not guaranteed and is a 3-4 year commitment.
