I made my self put things where they go as soon as I finish with it. I have a bad habit at time of making piles of stuff. I also keep a drawer set and keep papers for the week in there for each subject. I also have a rolling cart for papers the kids turn in , but I don’t take them out till I’m ready to grade them. At the end of the day while my fourth graders pack up, I clean off my table for the next day.

The best way I’ve found is to come up with an organizational system I actually want to maintain. Nothing too complicated and labeling always helps - not just kids, but me too.
I heard something a few months ago that changed my life - if it takes less than a minute, just do it now.
My home and classroom are so much tidier!
I've been teaching 9 years and have done different organizational stuff every year. You'll get there!
Organize as you go and get an early start before next year starts!
