I've experienced this too. Paying $150 per month on workout classes has been enough motivation to go when I'm not feeling up to it.
I used to do that too. Forced accountability with orange theory fitness classes.
I agree w the person above that said to find what you do like.
For example, If you enjoy strength training: have you considered a different modality? As in, if you’re someone that does hypertrophy 10-12 reps, switching to strength 4-6, or performance/mobility?
Hmm, I didn’t think about it that way. And I do happen to do hypertrophy —- switching to strength does sound very interesting. Thank you for that.
Find an accountability partner. Or even a friend that you could go on walks with. If you have made a commitment to someone else, it's harder to cancel.
I get audiobooks or podcasts I like and only allow myself to listen while I walk - it helps! Also setting yourself up to fall on your habits - signing up and pre-paying for a class 3x a week, or putting your exercise bike in the middle of the room in front of the TV instead of shoved in the corner so you have to trip over it to go sit down, little things to urge you towards action.
That being said, moods and motivations change! Maybe gift yourself a new pair of shoes or a cool hoodie once you hit your goals (aka "work out 3x a week for 2 weeks") etc.
You've got this!
There are certain workouts I enjoy & others I don’t - find the ones you *do* enjoy. I tried to get into running and dreaded it every day. So I stopped - went back to elliptical (where I listen to podcasts or watch TV) and playing basketball for my cardio

I exercise for the mental and emotional benefit. Never a day where I feel worse after exercising than I did to start. That’s enough motivation for me.
But, I cannot exercise in my house. Way too many distractions. But I like going to the gym or going outside for a walk.
Without the fitness, it’s hard to be a “fitness and wellness” person 😉
Find where the source of the resistance to doing it, create a way for the exercise to pull you in and you’ll be back to fitness in no time!
Yep, I went back to the gym I can't do it alone anymore.
