Hello, I have received an offer from Southwest Airlines as a Associate Technology Analyst with their direct college hire program. Will be graduating in May with a degree in MIS and also have internships experience as a Business Systems analyst intern. The salary compensation started off at 66,500 but was looking for the 75k range and they got back to me saying the best they can do is 68,500. They also have a 401k company match up to 9.3%. Do you think this is a solid offer for this job market?

I’m sorry but I just don’t believe there isn’t anything more at least from his side if not yours. No one needs a close personal relationship outside of work with someone younger than 21. If it’s truly a mentorship why does it need to be in personal life?

Should humans not help each other if they’ve been through similar experiences and hardships?..
Saying very nice things about us. My director has really helped me grow inside and outside of work. He’s been my mentor and friend and it really sucks that all my hard work is being undermined by people who think our relationship is weird/insinuating other things. I know his wife as well and for people to say this stuff really disappoints me.
What gets to me is that if I was any other male, no one would say anything. I’m so young and early into my career that this is affecting it more than it should. I’ve always heard stories about these things but never did I think it would happen to me. Should I lose out on an amazing learning opportunity because people are saying stuff? (2/2)
I have seen this a few times sadly. My question is are you closing off other opportunities as you are solely focused on learning from this one director? Are you open to working with others and learning from them without having that director involved?
Ok the second sentence there may be part of your issue. All for knowing what you want to do and where to do it however be open to new opportunities and learning especially at your level. The perception may be that you are not open to anything but working with the one director. Even though you think your open to other opportunities I would suggest critically look at your actions and if they demonstrate that.
