I am a manager and do consulting. I am thinking of becoming a CFP but not sure if it’s worth it. I’m not a CPA and don’t plan on becoming one, but thinking CFP is more suiting for what I do. Any advice ??

My insurance license has lapsed. Back when I was at Merrill I had to sit through a week-long training course. Do I still need to do that to regain my license? Can it be waived w/ a CFP certification?

Recently acquired my CFP. I’m just starting in the industry and relatively fresh out of college. More or less working as an associate for senior advisors with a focus on portfolio management & trading for them. I think I’d like to go the designation route to cover CE for the CFP and the APMA caught my attention as I see other younger advisors getting it. Is it worth the money/time? I’d like to dive deeper in portfolio management education. I understand CFA and/or CIMA would be the most valuable.

CFP, asking advisors out more than five years... has it really made a difference in your career growth/AUM and how clients perceive you? I guess I’m asking, was it really worth it?
