I am a med surg nurse in a hospital and the burnout is horrible. I’m looking for something remote part time because I can’t keep going like this and need something a bit more manageable.

Have you looked into any of the telemed RN jobs? Of course it looks like you have to have an NLC license for those..

I haven’t. Do they require more than a BSN?

Any interest in specializing? I always though med-surg was the worst and I've found that the floor nurses are happier in either ICU, OR, or cardiac/telemetry at my hospital. It's not so much the in-person aspect of med-surg that's the problem in my opinion.

I currently work from home, but it’s not a permanent wfh position. I just had my second baby, my parents live in the guest house and they babysit the girls for me while I work. My salary covers all expenses and I am able to pay my parents 1500$/month to babysit daily.

There are many reasons why the current atmosphere for clinicians is a total shit show. What irks me the most is when companies say they treat everyone like “family” but do things like micromanage you or treat you like crap. Currently work for Legacy as a DPT and when my contract is up in a couple of months I’m out of there! Stay away from this company.
