I’ve been frustrated lately because my in-house clients refuse to accept legal interpretations from the legal department. Example: “Hey Senior Counsel, here’s a contract provision—can you tell me what you think this requires us to do?” SC: “Sure. This isn’t ambiguous at all. It requires us to do X.” Business person: “Hmm. I know I’m not a lawyer, but I think it means Y.” Client proceeds to do Y. I’m not even sure why I’m here anymore. Does this happen at your company? How do you cope?

I keep hearing this is a job seeker's market but even with 10+ yrs project mgt experience, certs & great references/reccos, I get no traction for roles more senior than 'Project Manager'.

Hi all, wanted to share a couple things that have been real blessings to me and boosters to my faith lately in case they are helpful for anyone else: 1) CBSM - it’s a 4-year course that takes you though the whole Bible. Im in year 2 and love it. 2) Pints with Aquinas podcast. He has both long form/interview podcasts and also very short Bible study podcasts where he analyzes a verse or two and provides Aquinas’ view on it. The offer from EY India is very less and my joining is on 16th. I do not think negotiation will work at this point. Synechron & Altimetrik is offering far better pay than EY India. The difference is Close to 5L. Can anybody through some light here. I have a YOE of 4Y and tech stack- Java/MS/ React. EY is offering 10.5 fixed.

PS: For some reason, my heart is still says EY i don't know why :(

I am about to receive an offer from EY GDS for a role of a Business Analyst_Banking finance (Principal Consultant) with a CTC of 27 LPA (inclusive of 10% variable).

I am having 10.5 YOE. Is this grade relevant which they have offered, taking my YoE into account? How much i can negotiate upto in CTC front? I mean the highest slab of Principal consultant?
