I have 3 year experience working at Deloitte Consulting and want to move on to a Sales role and Career. I currently make $110K, is this feasible comp to make starting out in Sales?. How can I learn about comp in your industry?
Besides the comp question, are there any resources/forums/books online that anyone can recommend that’ll get me a good understand of what to expect out of a sales role, different sales roles, how to succeed, build career, etc. Im starting from 0
Thank you!
Hope someone else has some good ideas. I'm basically stuck with networking, cold calling, and cold emailing. It's not incredibly effective.
This is my usual thing as well, you gotta grind it out. Not sure if local events are an option, but that's one way. Or you keep an eye on RFPs etc. I know someone who hired a biz dev consultant for lead generation
I'm not in aerospace but my manager provided us with some tips around this when I was new. It pretty much involved finding where these groups were hanging out online and joining up to build relationships there. Now that we're traveling again they're also sending us to events to network.
