I am a partner in Canada and have been offered a role in USA with a bigger buss unit but a level down in the org chart. I can live anywhere in USA and part time in Canada. My boyfriend can move to USA with me but my daughter is in west coast who is 20. Since Covid I have spent more time with her. I have worked a lot with American partners but not clients. Thoughts on how I would be received as a leader being a Canadian woman in USA. About 2000 people in BU.

Nobody will know you are Canadian tbh.

Never level down. Wtf are they thinking? How is this good for you professionally?

Argument is scale so a much bigger business but less breath. Next week is commercial negotiations so that will be a big determining factor if I consider seriously

I don't think you'll have any problems because you're Canadian. Honestly not something most people I know can even tell.

Thanks for re assurance.

I’ve been on the job hunt for 8 months. Over 200 applications and less than 10 interviews. I’m trying to find a role in media/entertainment. I have VFX PA experience on a Sony Pictures Film. I also am a videographer and content creator. But there’s times where I feel like throwing in the towel. Idk what else to do at this point? I’ve been networking, but a lot of my network is unfortunately in the same situation.

Is making a lateral move for a consultant role from a B4 to at a startup worth for about 25% increase in TC? I see a lot of people here switching for large increases and curious if I’m making the wrong decision. Have an opportunity to be more technical if i stay at B4 or will be into PM/Strategy work at a startup which is less enjoyable.

Interested to see some perspectives - currently working at a Payroll & Benefits Specialist at a fast growing company and recently passed my PHR! I just started this role only a few months ago but am already feeling like I can take on more, but not as much as a HR manager. I’m struggling to understand where exactly it is I can go from here. I’m 25, have 3 years of experience, and get paid $59k/year.

Where does one go from here? Thanks in advance for any and all answers!

Do any real people actually want schools to reopen as it stands now? Im hearing so much about it but it feels like a weird disconnected political thing and not a live humans with kids thing.
*Obv the goal is to get covid under control so kids can go back safely, this is assuming infection rates stay steady or continue to climb

Got a job offer from Standard Chartered Bank recently. Went through 4 rounds of interview and got an email saying I’ve been selected but they said it’ll take about 2 weeks to come out with even just a verbal offer? Is this common across banks in Singapore or are they just stringing me along?

First egg retrieval is tomorrow after 13 days of stims and trigger last night. Because of my age (30)/relatively high AFC count my Dr has insisted on a slow and steady approach. At my last follicle screen yesterday we were at 19 measurable follicles ranging from 22mm to 15 with most between 17 and 22 - has anyone else been in a similar spot? If so what were your retrieval to blast results?

How do i enter in VC at an analyst position (pre-MBA). I have been working in a consulting firm (focused on healthcare. Not MBB) in India for the last 2 years and have applied on the career portals/cold emailed multiple VC firms. What is the benefit of working at the Cook County State's Attorneys Office other than the rapid trial experience one gains? I was a non traditional student - I do have a job lined up in private practice. Im not particularly fond of the practice area but its decent paying for entry level. I attended a networking event and met so many State's attorneys who seemed to enjoy the work bc of the experience they were gaining.

Sort of feel its a job more geared to folks who never worked in law before.
