I guarantee you that you will find a job paying you more and then they'll magically find the money to offer you more. Don't fall for it. Find another place and leave that place behind
Play the game..find the other job that pays more, present it to your current employer, they either match or not. Then you have your decision.
Definitely time to move on. You are running 5 practices, I’m sure you can find better employment closer to home at a higher pay rate. The universe is saying it’s time to move on. Please keep us updated!
Come to Charlotte NC. It’s booming here. God bless. You deserve better
You drive an hour each way!? That's tough. Do you have any job prospects lined up? The commute alone is reason enough to find something closer to where you live.
That I’d start looking for a better job. I work with doctors. If you run 5 practices. They need you more.
I would asked based on what exactly are you being denied ? Is quality or quantity? Is something that needs improvement ? If no answer is provided I (if it were me) would definitely start looking at other prospects.
Move on
You were told two years in a row that you don't qualify for a raise, based on what about your yearly review? So when these reviews are done, are specific areas of improvement mentioned?
If you have consistently had subpar reviews , has there been any corrective action?
Consider prioritizing your self-worth and valuing your own time. It seems clear that they don't appreciate it. Start searching for new opportunities, and someone will recognize your true value. Eventually, they will find themselves without a manager in five locations.
I would either move on or ask fora fuel expense budget.
Rising Star
FIVE practiced and no raise, not even cost of living increase??? What was their reasoning? Are you maxed for pay in you role?
Also… it should be expected that the Practice Manager/Administrator will get bad reviews. We’re basically always the bearer of bad news in ppls minds. If you had any good reviews at all that should be taken into account!
Commute: depending on where you live that’s completely reasonable. I’m conditioned to it, wouldn’t want to go above and hr, but an hr is doable.
The way that admins are handled at some of these specialty practice groups is ridiculous. My sister manages seven. She reports to an outside agency. The physicians never tell her when they have an issue, they report issues to the agency who rarely tells my sister when there is a problem, so the issues linger. I don't know how she can stand working there.
This sounds crazy!
Shocking. JK
Ask if they can provide more specific reasons why you wouldn't qualify. That way, you can work on whatever you need to on your end. Just because the providers don't complain, doesn't mean that others in the practice don't have issues. Frankly, they should have given you some sort of corrective action or coaching so that you could turn whatever issues they have around, but whatever. They probably just really don't want to pay.
Non clinical staff are always way underpaid.
I would move on if you have another prospect! Always keep that door open. Sometimes they give low performance so they will not have to give any raises.
Sad but true!
kkllll lol lol llllp
You would probably find one closer to home and save on gas and stress and get to sleep in and go to bed sooner. This ain't the only popsicle stand in town! https://giphy.com/gifs/cbc-comedy-cbc-gem-sort-of-lCrLUcc2tGXtqbJ0fy
OMG move on!!
You are too valuable to work for a company that doesn’t value or appreciate your time, hard work, and skill, absolutely find somewhere closer to work, any employer would be gunning to hire you
All of these people are saying move on…. The market is a mess.
I agree, I left my job. Big mistake, the pandemic has screwed everything up.
Yes, you should move on if possible.
