I am a registered cardiac sonographer, with 4+ years of experience in the OR with structural heart cases. I have an interview for a clinical specialist role in Electrophysiology Lab coming up. Is there anyone out there that can help me answer why do I want to work in EP and why would I want to work at Abbott? Based on the business, TAG might be the ‘easiest’ to transfer most of my skills, but open for insights from the other service lines.

A previous employer reached out and offered me a Senior Product Designer role with a 40% increase base salary. I am considering this, as I have been feeling under utilized at my current role + dealing with of uncertainty lately. But I would be forfeiting a lot of RSUs if I leave. I am in the middle of my vesting period (2/4 yrs), and this year alone would have 256 shares vesting (~$500 share price). The new role will come with shares, but at a small share price. Anyone had similar experience?

As someone whose weight tends to fluctuate, I am absolutely ecstatic that I’ve been able to maintain (even lose ~5lbs) during quarantine! Stepped on the scale this morning and had to share my exciting news 🤗

It’s easy to get into a rut ... but I’ve been treating myself to one small treat a day (i.e. dark chocolate or a cookie) and it has done wonders for easing cravings. Get outside, do some pushups between calls, you can do this health-fam 💪🏻💯🔥

I am considered a part of leadership and am a people manager in addition to my sales role. I am a high performer and last year got a 10% raise (which I asked for). This year I was offered 5%. Very close to receiving a job offer for a fast growin start-up company related to dental. It is located in SF which unfortunately is not Americas most expensive city to live in (I’d have to move there). Started pricing apartments and will need an offer of about $135k to qualify for housing but anything I find for a salary reference says the company plays about 95k in SF - how do I justify my experience and drive to the company to show my value or is that too big of a wage gap to bridge? Hello! SLP here. Does anyone else work in a “per session” pay structure? Basically, I’m only paid for productive time with clients that pay accounts for the charting required for the session. How should meetings be factored into pay and responsibilities outside of my clinical role? My boss has been asking me to do many things outside of my job description and I’m only paid for productive time.

The lack of skills fundamental to life is absolutely astounding. I think we now have 3 people who will do anything to avoid reading or taking notes. To call in a supervisor to ask what they should do because they don’t have any intention of reading the document to be able to route it to the appropriate person. Then to avoid reading, they call the patient to ask if they know what the document is for.
