I am in the last stages of an interview process and I really fucked up a 15-min talk with some on the team. I’ve already spoken with two collegues and it went very well, but this one I totally blew because I stuttered, was super nervous and could not answer the questions properly. Considering that I’m probably not a favourite for this one guy, what do you think my chances are for landing the job? Can I do something to “save” the situation?

I have a senior who feels the need to break down every little thing they’re working on, repeating over and over the actions they are going to take after I ask them to do something. I get that he’s likely being overly prepared and wants to make sure I recognize he understands the asks, but I feel like it’s excessive. I’m not a micromanager and don’t need this level of detail. I want to make my senior feel supported, but is there anything I can suggest in this case without sounding like an ass?

Is it possible to make a million in any sales position? I see so many classes and books on how to be a millionaire by selling. Seems like BS.

I work in inside sales selling data center hardware to commercial customers. I have the opportunity to take a new field sales role (w/ same company) selling DC equipment to federal government customers. My concern is that I will be stuck in the Federal space and it will be difficult/impossible to ever pivot back to selling in the commercial space. My longterm vision is to go to sales/sales management at a startup. Think this new role helps, hurts, or makes no diff?

Has any of your employer used PIP as a way to fire you? I'm a female POC just getting started in my entry level role and my company does not have a history of using PIP on their associate, but after I gave their academy training a bad review in the survey, my manager is trying to put my on a PIP while the people who started out at the same time are not on it. I'm 9 weeks in my current SDR position, been doing 100 dials a day and got 2 books 1 occur so far.

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. Due to a recent company-wide increase and additional pay for bilingual direct reports I am only making a dollar and change above them as their supervisor. I was hired into this position in March, having been the first employee in this department. About to post a job w/ HC software co (~550 employees). Need someone who can manage relationships w/ cons/analyst firms that advise health plans on pop health software / serve as SI's, & relationships with Big Tech (MSFT, Oracle, etc). Thinking this could be a good lower stress role for Big 5 manager who wants to get off the rat race. Goal would be to give this person an opportunity to grow into more senior roles as knowledge of pop health increases. Thoughts / suggestions appreciated.
