I am a Salesforce developer with a little above 1 year of experience in Salesforce. I always wanted to be in information security. Linux is my strong suit, but i don't find Salesforce to be hard either. Now I see 2 choices in front of me either continue in Salesforce or switch as per my interest. Choosing Information Security will not be lucrative but eventually I will be there. I just want suggestions on what should i do.

I can have a stack of billables to do, but if it isn’t truly urgent, it’s just like a giant mental wall preventing me from getting things done. Medicine doesn’t help. Suppose the company is ready to give me early release on my 90 days NP, and for a moment, assume, I don't want it. Then how can I proceed?

I can simply say, no and continue serving my NP. However, if they insist, then should I ask them to pay me for the remaining NP? (like early release in one month, but ask them to pay for full three months)
