I am a Senior Account Manager managing large commercial P&C accounts. In your opinion, what destination (CPCU, ARM, etc) would be most helpful from a day-to-day knowledge standpoint? I want to gain additional knowledge but feel like I’m at a standstill. My bosses are willing to pay for it.

I’ve started pursuing the CPCU designation myself just recently and find it incredibly insightful. It’s such easy reading if you genuinely love insurance. Like you I wasn’t sure which designation to pursue, but all research pointed to CPCU as one of the broadest and most well-respected industry designations. I believe CPCU gives me the credibility I desire especially in a position of advising clients and recommending coverage

like

I would say CPCU personally, but curious to see what other people say

CISR and CIC

Start with the small designations; they can wave classes for the CPCU.

Question for funds folks, since no one is around to answer any questions and I can't seem to find this answer anywhere. Why can't a placement agent combine or integrate the offering of interests in the sponsor's fund with the contemporaneous offering of interests in another fund? Is it based on reputational risk or from a sales perspective in case someone rejects both funds, any other issues? Thanks!

It’s so hard to stay upbeat and motivated at times.

I’ve been working for my State Farm agent since January 2022. Between then and now three people have been let go. The first to be let go was only there for a month. The second was there for about six months and the third was let go yesterday after a little over a month. I feel this is toxic as I see this as a revolving door. Am I right to feel this way or does this job have high turn over rates?
