So I’m about to start my interview process for Capital One next week for a Senior Financial Analyst position. My recruiter going give me a prep call on Friday but I wanted any advice that recruiters don’t tell you during the interview process. Also I wanted to ask if Capital One a decent place to work at. I will be working at the one in McLean Virginia if that helps.

It is not easy. I was in a similar situation. Have some patience for yourself and do your best. Try to come up with the solutions before reaching out for help. Good luck!
I just switched firms too and I’ll be honest, I think the wfh situation has been like sticking a needle in my career balloon. My work isn’t challenging, but I feel the challenge is staying engaged with my work and feeling a passion for my work if that makes sense.
I have had this same problem but didn’t get brought in as a senior. I noticed it’s about the team your on. Also, might just be me but also confidence level, I never hesitated to fix things in the past but now I am. I think it’s from the wide range of reactions I’ve observed people have whenever changing documentation/procedures is brought up in conversation.
I would talk to your manager about their expectations or how they prefer going about changing things.
I joined PwC as an experienced hire and people just assume you can do anything. Also it took me a really long time to get all the PwC software
I just read the audit guide to help.
I joined PwC a year ago also as a senior from industry (started my career in PA at a regional firm). So I was new to PwC but I also hadn't been on an audit in 2.5 years. There is a lot to pick up on and it was nothing like my previous experience. I used snapshot conversations to constantly ask where I could improve and was surprised when they kept telling me that I was doing fine especially since I was a new hire. I also found someone who started a month before me (switching from a smaller national firm) and we bounced ideas off each other which was really helpful.
Same - I came in as a senior from a regional firm. The first year was brutal and I was on a team where they thought I should be able to do anything and constantly looked at me like I was stupid. I befriended a lot of associates who I could ask simple questions to and not be embarrassed. I have a better team now and have found my stride on engagements where I can succeed, but it is rough and I totally feel you ❤️ Hang in there. All experienced hires I know have faced this same problem.
Talk to your coach and see if he can set you up with a peer or another one of his/her coachees.
