How much raise do you look for when exiting PA in Canada? Looks like 20%-50% is what people get in US
What’s the biggest raise you’ve ever received, either by being promoted or leaving for a different company?
What kind of raise would one expect on a normal year, assuming at one performed in the top half or second quartile? Has to be inflation-beating i suppose, but don't have a benchmark since this is my first year.
Anyone know what is the eligibility for promotion in Harman and when that gets reflected? I have 9+ years of exp expecting designation change by this year. I completed 2.5yrs in Harman
Hello! I am an LCSW working in a private practice (not my own) in Utah. I became fully licensed within the last 6 months. I’m trying to figure out if I am being paid a competitive rate. What kind of raise is to be expected going from a CSW to an LCSW? Thank y’all for your help!
What was the percentage of the most recent COLA increase given by your employer? I'm looking for standard or budgeted amounts rather than your personal increase due to promotion or request. Thanks!
Been offered a Recruiter Coordinator role at a company that recently acquired two other companies but is also splitting into two companies. 25% raise, contract to hire at any time, no health/pto/sick benefits until I am made fulltime. I am in a stable long term contract where I am not miserable, just underpaid. Should I make the jump?
Starting soon at McK as an undergraduate hire, is it normal/inoffensive to state to my DLG that I’d be interested in pursuing relatively expeditious promotion timelines and am willing to do the work to achieve that goal? Or will it come off as arrogant/foolhardy (happy to hear from all MBB because I am guessing it might be similar)?McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group
Does BNP APAC does background verification before sending offer letter or after sending the offer letter? I have not been asked about the educational certificates yet. They have only asked the PAN, PASSPORT and Current employer salalry slips and promotion letter. P.s - I have recieved the offer letter now. Will they be still doing any background verification or this is done ?
I'm considering a job change from my well regarded commercial litigation firm to a more relaxed, WFH ID firm. My current billable requirement is 2000, but for partnership it seems to be 2200+. There's no work from home, and there's an old fashioned dress code. I like the complexity of the work I do, but I don't want to kill myself to make a living. Plus, my current salary is below market, so a move would come with a significant raise. Is it crazy to give up prestige for a better life?
Working off the assumption that “providing value to a company will lead to a raise” (understand that we work in marketing and holding companies can be annoying but for the sake of the post, let’s assume it is true). I’m looking for how I can provide more value as a content manager. Any tips on what extra things I can do to up my “stock”?
I have been offered 17 lpa fixed+ 75k joining bonus from PwC kolkata with current ctc 13.08 lpa in tcs. Recently I got a promotion and ctc increased to 15.03 lpa and I shared the promotion letter with pwc. They said I will get a call for offer discussion again. Could anyone tell if pwc will really revise the offer and how long will it take? How much ctc should I ask for? Yoe - 8.3 years, sap fico Designation offered - Senior associate
Hi UK Fish, going into a promotion (from C to SC) and raise discussion tomorrow at a boutique consulting firm. Currently at 62.5k. Bonus was up to 10% but all I got was a measly 2%, slow pipeline maybe but I wasn't told why (will raise tomorrow). A recent acquisition has resulted in losing our annual xmas week off and a learning budget of 1k. I know for a fact that last year they were looking to hire SCs at 70k. Is a base raise to 75k a fair ask?
I’ve been a fed for 13 years within DoD and am in my early 40’s. Not sure when a promotion is on the horizon for me as I’m a top performer. What are thoughts of leaving the fed for a company like Deloitte?
Is asking for a raise at a company I’ve been at for 6 months to soon? I believe the work I’ve been doing is worth more than what I’m making now
Any tips for asking for a mid year riase when a raise was already given in December/January? (7% for hitting above quota numbers) I started to realize the new external hires on my team make 10-15k higher than me for the same role. I am a top 3 performer but promotions and raises are usally only given based on hitting a certain number and at the EOY and often times that number is very hard to hit given the out of my control situations like acquisitions.
An opportunity has risen that I will be getting a promotion from Manager to Director. I am a senior employee and historically have gotten anywhere from 5.5% - 10% raises in the past. What would be an appropriate promotion to director percentage raise? I am happy where I work and don’t want to go anywhere, but also want to be respected in a role with more responsibilities.
Best company to work for? From a money point of view? I work for a startup right now since a year and haven’t gotten a raise yet...

does anyone have any tips on negotiating salary? I have been in this role for 13 months and it’s my first one out of college. I would definitely like to increase my salary due to inflation/upcoming bills.
I live in a small studio apartment and my mother is visiting for just over a week from abroad. I’m anxious about being in each others face day/night since my desk faces my living space so I’m thinking of working from office all week as I don’t have time off. Any ideas on how I can make the space issue work and somehow keep her entertained?
I’m about to graduate with a B.S. in healthcare management in the December. I plan on being a part time graduate student pursuing an MBA with a specialization in health administration. What university do you recommend I attend? I’m looking for one that is CAHME accredited, could be in Florida, Georgia, or Texas and offers a lot of scholarships. I’m also concerned about post-graduate life. How/where do I secure a well paying career right after I graduate with my degree?
Sorry if it's silly 😂 But can we buy projector under well being allowance? Planning to make a home theater.

Does having a PMP certification hold any water in digital media? Do folks care? I’ve been using PMI resources to help solve problems / improve stuff at my org, and I’m tempted to get the full cert but I’m not sure if it’d actually mean anything / have a meaningful impact on my career or pay. It’s not a huge investment in time or money but if it doesn’t have much of an impact I’d rather just keep reading free resources online on my own time
Any recruiters at Oracle just got rejected after the first technical interview for computer science the engineer seemed happy with my responses not really sure what happened would love some clarification. Is there a system for comments on candidates?

Should I realistically be worried if my background check will be totally clean but I have a low credit score? Would this cause a company to rescind my offer?
