Project Management vs Software Development which is better for long term?

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Offer Evaluation: Senior Mgr role at Tech company. $195K base, 15% bonus, $75k RSU / year, $35K sign-on. Total first year comp is ~$335K. 7 YOE + 2 Yr MBA

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments. Joined pro a few months back in TC, I notice that the all the talks of big growth etc. was just talks. Have not had any decent project lined up and been sitting idle for past month. Also, majority of existing projects are Risk, audit and compliance related or we are trying staff aug / managed service (outsource). I’m currently an AE who feels more like a Strategist and wants to pivot to a JS role. I’ve told the SLT at M&C Saatchi and they’re responding slowly (I’m now working hybrid roles on current projects/love the clients & people/got given a small pay rise) but they’re also telling me it’ll take time & it’s rare for an AE to become a JS.

However, I’ve potentially got a JS job offer with Anomaly (London). Do I stay and grow slowly, or do I go and get the role I want quickly?

So I got interviewed for a project by the IBM team. The interviewer told me that its a go ahead from their end, now the client will assess my profile and if they too are fine with it, I will be onboarded?

Is it true that we have client interview as well? If yes then after how many days of interview by IBM team, client interview takes place?

Or its just that if the IBM team is fine with it, we are selected for the project?

Client issue - I’m on one of my client’s supervisor’s “bad list.” Our firm requires updates every 60-90 days. Rarely miss sending reports on time, but some of the clients request updates every 20-30 days. I try to respond timely, but don’t always, often will just send a reply saying I will have this for you within 1 week or ASAP. Since October, one of the supervisors for this company will periodically email the head of our department (not cc’ing me) and say they are missing reports. (Cont.)

I’m currently in a lease admin type role, in commercial real estate. I make a base salary of $50.5K with about $9k in bonuses. I’ve continuously received 7-10% raises over the last 3 years. I anticipate getting a promotion this year and would like to get closer to $60k for my base salary.
