I am a substitute that a lot of the teachers like because I do the job well and follow their lesson plans. Do you think it is a better idea to stay a sub or move on in hope of my own class?

It depends on what you want. I moved from a sub position to half time to full time next year at a high school. There is significantly larger time commitment both in and out of the school. Especially at the elementary level. How you stated your question is a little confusing. Do you want to be full time in the school school district you are in or apply to a different district in hopes of finding a classroom? Each school district is different and whether or not they want to hire within or keep you as a sub. For me it is worth it because I want and need the structure. I am losing flexibility of my schedule but gaining an ability to make significantly more money in something I like doing.

Definitely leverage your sub experience and references to move into a full time position with better pay and benefits.

Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
