Most medical-related fields I'm aware of require a lot of school and post-school training.
While money is understandably your goal, start with what you're passionate about. What would you like to be doing in a few years and a few years after that?
What skills or experiences that you've had already are important to you to utilize or continue honing?
i’m also a senior getting an English degree, and it’s absolutely not true that the only job we can go into is teaching! Most people just say that because they have no idea what skills you actually develop in getting an English degree.
Just do a quick search to figure out all the different fields you can go into, but here’s a few examples: journalism, marketing/advertising, copywriting, technical writing, publishing, etc.
Copywriting, can go into sales/business, or do a technical boot camp (finish English BA and take some extra credits in comp sci)
Honestly you can do a lot with an English degree. Alot of places just want you to have a degree and they don't really care what it is in. I would just apply to jobs you are interested in and see if you get any bites.
The medical field requires more school/educational training. What are your interests and passion? I think you can start there.
Medical is a lot! I’m a current nursing student, and yes, money is nice. But it takes a lot of mental/emotional/physical tolls. A lot of schooling, too. I’m going for my associates right now, and plan on going back for my bachelor’s and masters! It will take me 8-10 years of schooling in total to be at my goal position. Good luck on whatever you choose :))
I think your choice was a little off for your list of considerations. Medical degree requires more than 2 years of school. Why not go an admin job or if you want to be interactive you also enter into sales.
