Hi Sharks,
How much salary should I ask to HSBC ( Tech Stalk - mainframe , yoe - 6.8 yrs). Already cleared tech and managerial round waiting for psychometric test and HR discussion. I joined IBM on 27 June and I am still on bench. There are high chances that I will get into HSBC project. Also would it impact my chances to rejoin Ibm in the future. CCTC - 20LPA fixed

Leaving a company as a team JPMorgan Chase
Hello does anyone have experience or know of a case where a team or at least a group of people moved together to another employer.
For context we are a strong developer team that has been saddled with less than ideal migration with a vendor that is really not up to scratch and a big chunk of the team is not ok with that. So I wonder if there is a precedent of people just moving in bulk.
You live in a LCOL area so that's a factor, but even so you are getting scammed. Start job searching immediately. You could probably be making 6 figures with 3 yrs XP. You shouldn't even consider anything less than $80k + benefits, bonus/equity, etc
For reference, I'm 25 and I make $150k base
These days I'm more of a cloud engineer so Ive been mostly doing terraform, kubernetes, etc.
I could've gotten the same pay doing what I did at my last job though: java spring, postgres, a little angular. Occasionally some DevOps stuff although that was not expected of me
Hello fellow Michigander! I'm in the Metro Detroit area and I can tell you the entry level positions get you around 65-70k here. I'd say you're roughly 40-60% underpaid. I don't know much about Magento, but you will have to branch out to more popular tech stacks like dotnet/java backend and angular/express front end.
Yup, you are being severely underpaid for your experience and degree. 60k is pretty normal for a first year graduate… but with your experience I would think you could get at least 80-85.
Are you coding in your current role? If so in what language? Idk what Magento is but a quick Google makes it look like a CMS, so what you're actually doing with it day to day will make a big difference in your value in the market. I think you are underpaid pretty much no matter what though.
Nice. Unless you really enjoy Magneto my advice would be to learn some modern JS framework like React on your own and then start applying to other companies. You should be pretty close to 100k minimum base on remote positions, probably ~20-30k lower on local companies, but the other guy would know better. But yeah you are severely severely underpaid at your current position doing any type of day to day coding. Good luck!
22 an hour?? Bank of America pays that for help desk and no degree....time to go. How did they get away with paying you like that??
The magento specialists I’ve met are all independent (1099) and bill anywhere from $40/hr to $100/hr, depending on the gig.
