Recently moved in-house and struggling with how to document my contributions (keep a “brag list” if you will) for purposes of review season and eventual bonus/promotion/raise discussions. At a firm it was fairly easy to point to high billables, high profile deals, praise from particular partners or clients. Now I’m struggling because my work is so….day to day. Mostly negotiating typical sales contracts. Very few opportunities for visibility or high profile contributions if that makes sense.

You really will need to network. Having a litigation background combined with having twelve years of experience will mean that you are unlikely to land anything just applying blindly to opportunities. It is typically more difficult for litigators to obtain in-house opportunities, and with twelve years of experience, someone looking at your resume may find you overqualified.
If you see an in-house position posted or advertised, look for a connection with someone who already works at that company. Then, get them to refer you. I would also recommend networking at CLEs, references from people you went to law school with, and corporate clients (assuming you do defense work), etc.
Networking and busi development are basically one and same. Id use that as a frame.
Maybe move to one of your clients?

If you have 12 years of employment experience you’re probably great at counseling too. I’d look for an employment role. If you do a lot of general business advising I’d lead with that over “litigator” in how you describe yourself. If you have enough substantive experience to be very good at counseling you can get away with fudging on the mix of litigation and advising you do.
