I am about to complete one year in the role of an LMS Admin next month. My team wants to extend my contract, however, they’re only willing to increase my annual salary by a couple of thousand dollars. They’ve also mentioned that at this point they cannot offer me a permanent role.
I am torn because I like the culture and my team but it’s a bummer that they’re only willing to give a small hike.
I’m not sure if should stay or actively start looking for opportunities else where. What should I do?

Is the pay competitive for your market? If so, and you're ok with being on contract, then stick around. There's a lot of value in working with good people. If the pay isn't competitive, you should look around

I’m not 100% sure if it is competitive? I have 2 years of experience in LMS and 6 years in HR in all. My current package is $50k per year.

It’s getting harder and harder to be motivated for work. Managers keep piling on work with no compensation and people are quitting left and right. I feel like I’m at a dead end. My work ethic is AMAZING and I feel like I’ve sold myself short with this job, but it’s like nothing else in my field interests me. I’m trying to pivot, put in so many applications and I hadn’t heard back. I feel like giving up.

I'm working in a company that I like, but I'm been quite underpaid. We recruited a new recruiter with a salary 25% more than the one I'm in. I've been approached by other companies, but I wouldn't like to leave, the only reason I would consider moving to a new job is the salary. Should I be open and discuss it with my LM? The formal salary review process is approaching in 2 months, but no way I could get a good salary increase in the formal process, I believe the max could be 6%-7%.

Hello Everyone! Had a discussion yesterday regarding “claw backs” being included in a policy for sponsorship if the new employee leaves before 3 years. It was a declining percentage over a three year period. My POV was that it wasn’t something I’ve ever done and didn’t seem like they were sure of the hire they were making. I get wanting to save costs but at the same time doesn’t feel inclusive or welcoming. Thoughts? Have you done this or seen it work? Thanks!

Are recruiters worth more than L&D specialists? We have a new recuiter that transferred in from another dept. & is already making more than me and has a higher comp range. We have same tenure & they have NO prev. recuiting experience. I should also add I have been helping cover recuiting in interim. I also help cover HR tasks, have my SHRM, 5 years of HR exp., and 2 degrees. Is the "value" for recruiters more than L&D? I feel a little taken advantage of, but want to know if I'm off base here.
