I have the skills to do the job requirements but have not got the opportunity to get an interview. Recently moved over to brand side from agency. Finding that I love the work/life balance but struggling to feel like I'm doing anything meaningful. No direction, you invent the work. I feel like as crazy as agency life is, at least you felt like you were doing something and adding value/learning. Not sure if this is the right fit or if it's just an adjustment period. Anyone make this transition and realize maybe brand side just isn't for them? Or is this normal and will settle into a stride?

optum is providing X lpa , Bitwise X+3.5 lpa and mphasis X+4.5 Lpa all are fixed. May i know which is better to join ?
Optum has not released offer letter yet as discussion was going on with hr to provide X+2 LPA fixed and she agreed on that but later she said she will not able to provide more than X and if you interested than only we will release offer letter. So may i know in the last week before joining will they renegotiate?

I am not talking ones who are truly feeling ill but we have teachers who have had to ne home with allergy like symptoms...those teachers could monitor students who are also not feeling ill in an area a way from the nonquarantined student body...maybe other schools have students have students who work their hearts out not our

What does your school do for staff school?

We have an autistic non-verbal child in my school who is destructive. He tore my room apart last year (I do not have him as a student. He got into my room during class change.)
We can’t leave our doors open.
We can’t let the kids in the hall if he is in the hall.
He has his own teacher and 2 aides.

As soon as we start the new year, our principal is laser-focused on testing, testing, testing. I definitely prefer the first half of the school year.

New teacher here, how much of your weekend do you spend lesson planning? Feel like I have to dedicate a whole day to it which doesn't give me much time to relax and unwind from work

So all during FSA testing they pulled our teachers to test other grades. No subs were used, and instead they forced us to cover for these teachers. I was a “buddy” teacher the entire week and had a double load of students in my room. They did not pay me and said coverage does not get extra pay.

This is an ELA topic, but I'd appreciate input from other fields (I teach music).
Growing up, I always loved to read; I still do, and enjoy many types of fiction and nonfiction.
However, with few exceptions, I hated the books they made us read for school. They were mostly dull, depressing, and by old white men.
If even I couldn't enjoy those books, I feared they would surely discourage other students from reading--such a terrible loss!
Do you think this is (still) a problem? Or am I just weird?

I'm about to lose my mind today. Had a kid OF HIS ROCKER all day today. Took admin 20 min to come get him, & now he's throwing furniture downstairs, calling me a liar, cursing my name. I'm so over this job. This is not an every *day* occurrence, but at least once a week I am doing this with him, or I am dealing with my girls getting into fist fights over God knows what drama. I don't know how much longer I can take this. The stress is getting to me, & IMAGINE my other kids watching... 😞
