I am all about the idea of salary transparency and everything but do you have people in your life who are jealous of the salary you make and are constantly trying to compete? And not just with you but with your entire friend circle? This made me not wanna tell my real salary. And let’s be honest some people with the same job title in a different company will be making more or less money than you depending on other things. Just wanted to see what are the thoughts of other people here.

Had an interview with Deloitte for M role in Strategy and Analytics, and they down levelled to SC. I asked recruiter and she said that the SM thought I was better at SC. Salary is 170k base plus 22.5k signing and upto 17% bonus (target probably half that). After not signing it, had a call with the principal who said he sees it more like a one year path to M but I don't trust it especially after they levelled down. Does it make sense to jump? In Lighthouse currently , 142k base and M1.
