I am an exercise physiologist who just recently received her masters in healthcare administration with an emphasis in informatics. I want to get into operations management (in ideally the healthcare realm.) I’ve been applying to several jobs but no luck yet. Does anyone have any advice on how I start my journey???

My recommendation would be to have your resume professionally optimized. It could be as simple as tweaking a few things or adding certain keywords. Doesn't cost too much to hire someone on upwork, but it's a great investment. Good luck!

Thanks so much! I might need to hire someone!

Doesn’t the school you graduated from offer leads? You paid quite a bit of money it’s the least they could do?

I wish! But unfortunately nope 😔

I would network and try to get a referral. That may help you get your foot int he door somewhere.

Feeling very frustrated and discouraged. I’ve been looking for a new job since May and just get nothing but rejections or no responses. I work for a real estate firm as a Marketing Media Manager but really I’m just a glorified graphic designer/content creator/social media manager. I create all content (print and digital) for over 150 real estate agents with our firm. I have a portfolio for my work but I don’t know what else to do.

I’m contracting with a company in an admin role, but sometimes I’m asked to do projects that would normally be outsourced to a marketing or design company like designing a flyer for example. It’s not in my job description, but I have the skills to do this work and so why not ask me to do it? Is it out of the question to ask if I can be paid for that work under a separate fee as a consultant or something? Is that even possible?
