I am an HR Manager in manufacturing, have 7 years of progressive HR experience, a bachelors degree and professional certification, and make $70k. Location is Phoenix metropolitan area. Compensation data says median pay should be $100k but when I look for HR Manager jobs, I don’t see many that pay that high. HR Managers in AZ, what do you make? Am I under paid?

For that many YOE, yes. 70k is more aligned with a Sr. Generalist’s pay

For all these beaten down growth stocks if you are thinking of buying shares would it be worth it here just to buy a leap instead of shares and let it ride. I’m sure some of these stocks will never recover so even if the leap goes to zero wouldn’t it be close to the same loss as if you had shares and it keeps dropping in the next year. Honestly I don’t think agencies are going to exist the way they do 15-20 years from now. The way they operate is designed for burn out for employees. I’ve worked at a total of 5 agencies across Chicago and NYC, and things end up always being toxic and the work life balance is just not sustainable nor justifiable when I look back. I mean look across this app and see what people post in regards to advertising, we deserve better.

Additional Posts in Salaries in HR

I just had an initial phone screen for a new Senior HR Generalist role, and the salary is $10k less than the low number I offered when he asked for my salary expectations. I’m at $85 with my current role, so I asked for $90-$95 for this role. However he told me the salary is $80. I’m really unhappy in my current job so I’m wondering how I can either negotiate for more salary (he said there may be wiggle room) or, explain that the $80 number he offered may be okay, depending on other benefits?

Curious how prior experience/transferable skills plays in to comp? When decided to get out of people leadership and move to a recruiter role a year ago was brought in as an “associate” since didn’t have the required year of full cycle recruiting. An “entry level” recruiter isn’t going to make near what I was making as an experienced leader with almost 20 YOE. But have a ton of transferable skills. How much $$ does that equate to in an offer? Or how is it taken into account?
