I am an Indian citizen, but I work in Europe. I have an offer with the US counterpart of my firm. Given the current travel ban from Europe and additional NIE requirements from Europe, it doesn't seem advisable to apply for a L1A from Europe.

In this case, will I be eligible to apply from India, because of my citizenship? How long does it take on average for a L1 visa process when applied from India? Any advice?

Week 2 at new company that goes off Chinese custom. Most employees are Chinese citizens on visa. I noticed something odd about some of their employment agreements, they are paid 85% salary during probation of 6 months. If performance is good, they get the full 100% after month 6. I personally have never seen this, nor do I think this is legal in the US let alone WA/CA. Trying to get them up to compliance but this one has me stumped. My gut says this is illegal. All employees are engineers.

For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? US immigration question. Green card interview date was cancelled in March 2020. It’s been a whole year of just waiting for a reschedule date, so the I-485 is transferable (e.g. to another state, another employer). Has anyone transferred their i-485 to another employer? What was that process like? Would my process start from the interview phase? How did you prove that the next job was in the same category?
