McKinsey & Company Has Mckinsey met BA headcount quota for the year/did they freeze hiring? I interviewed and got to last round last year, and applied again with a referral two months ago but haven’t heard anything from recruiting. Last year I heard back within 1 month of referral drop. I would’ve thought with my 1 more year of experience I should be able to get an interview easily.🥲 McKinsey & Company
I have received a offer from Cerner for Technical solutions Analyst role. It's a support role on SQL and work timing is 5pm to 2 am. I was checking the reviews on Glassdoor and ambition box and i have read alot of bad reviews on management and dirty politics. After reading all this I am concerned if i should go ahead with the offer or not. Please advise how is the work environment, does management support learning and is their dirty politics within team? Senior IT auditor
I’ve seen move to internal audit or compliance on the business side (not IT), M&A IT, and IT implementation (that last one not at the manager level though). I moved to a practice where we design financial and operational controls (not IT). But yeah testing ITGCs is fine for a year or two, need to move on after that.
A1 Yup. Guilty and thanks for rubbing salt 😕
Straight up assurance
I’m considering going back for a crash course in software engineering. Compliance background + coding skills should equal something more exciting than “on [insert date] John Dipshit [insert title] informed us.....”
The tax free housing stipend I would make from a school based in the Bay Area is just a little under what I bring in now monthly anyways after taxes 401k etc.
Seems like Uber driver is a better option than senior it auditor or assurance roles now
I interned as an IT Auditor and was able to shape my story and experience to help me get into consulting. I think easiest way after working for 2-3 + would prob be MBA, or try switching into Advisory?
Bruh you INTERNED. You didn't shape your story to get into consulting. You were a blank sheet like everyone else 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Mm here are some roles for inspiration: project management, build lead, security, architect
It depends on what transferable skills you have.
