Etiquette for asking for a raise/ tips on career advancement?

I'm at the end of my first year as a lawyer and I want to advance my career (a raise, maybe some perks) without coming off as an entitled brat. Do not want to burn bridges by asking for too much, but also don't want to be taken for granted.

I have exceeded the goals set for me with a full quarter left until my annual review.

Going through a rough patch, mental-health wise. I have always been a high performer and dont back down from challenges. But this past month something feels off in my head and I have 0% motivation for anything at the moment. Brief run down: work-stress, meeting expectations, fear of failure, imposter-syndrome, negative self-image (probably from all the time I spend on IG… might need therapy. 🥲
I don’t know what went wrong, but I don’t think I’m the only one to have felt this. Sorry for the sads!

I just got my first draft and i will be getting about 2800 without the 30% ruling. Most probably i will get the 30% and it would increase but I was shocked by the low number of 2800.

I make ~150K & get 8K per month net.

Assuming I have 3K rent + 1K for (car + insurance) + 1K for (grocery + utilities + misc expenses), I’m left with 3K/month saving which is 36K/yr.

I haven't spoken to my manager regarding hike during performance review assuming it will be given automatically post one year completion. Now I feel I should've discussed this before. My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer.
