KPMG I cleared all the rounds of my interview with KPMG and was asked to provide necessary documents and fill a CAF form a week back and had a HR discussion too. I have requested for about 3Lakhs additional fixed pay since my current CTC has increased and HR said she will get back on this. It's been a week and haven't heard back on the offer letter. How long do you think I should wait. Please wait.

What kind of research position did you apply for? Was it a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) or a Study Coordinator? Typically the CRC rolls require previous research experience and the Study Coordinator does not. If you have a higher degree than they are looking for you may be "over qualified." I would suggest keep applying, and include a cover letters saying your reasons for wanting to switch into research.
The department also may have had someone in mind for the position already.
I believe I applied for both at the time. I’m happy I’m working in a health care facility and am learning the basics of how this hospital runs, but I really want to do more aside from coordinating appts and answering phones. I really do love connecting with the patients, but I am thinking about my professional growth and I don’t want to get stuck in this position.
I started off as a Patient Care Coordinator in Oncology before I transitioned to clinical research. It’s been a great career move for professional growth but the pay is what is lagging for me (could just be where i work. Also I’m about one year and a half new to research but worked for healthcare for almost 4 years prior to transition). I’m about to graduate with my MBA next month and I’m hoping that helps boost my pay and open other opportunities as well. I currently work in a role similar to a Study Coordinator but has overlapping roles as a CRC as well. My recommendation is to take the experience you do have in research and emphasize that in your resume (if you haven’t already). Hope that helps
Emory doesn’t pay well. I thought I wanted to retire there but now I’m not so sure.
Maybe you could do a very part time remote research internship and use it as a resume booster?
Taking master's sound like a good move– might as well network with your professors on research opportunities or any value-adding activity to help you prep your transition into research. Goodluck!
Hi I just applied for an office coordinator position at MSK. I read some bad reviews and wondering if they hold any truth. The pay is low and I am not sure I want to move forward as it seems very demanding with not fair compensation
