I am applied to IBM multiplied times. Heard they hiring big time. However even am all the skill set they are asking and a good resume, have never received call from them. Went through a referral. Still same. When my reference asked the HR about me not getting a call, he said it sometimes happens. Nobody knows who will get the call. Sometimes people get in a day, but many times they don't.
Is there any thing else I can try? Has it happened with anyone else?

Any advice for asking for almost a 30-35% raise. I recently got an Office Manager position and I wanted to renegotiate my pay. It's a brand new location with branches nationwide.
