I am at the 30’s mid-life crisis, so appreciate any advice. Should I buy a home and start a family or go for an MBA?

MBA! Great way to improve your future earning potential - and to learn and have fun along the way.

You mean you haven’t done any of those yet? 😱

Failure! 36, SO no babies. House no MBA. Still crushing it

likefunny

Buy a Porsche and skip the MBA/kids.

Alternately, if you’re looking for a more serious answer, see what educational allowance your firm offers and look into doing a part time masters (potentially online) that your company will pay for. Depending on your company’s policy, you might not have to pay anything out of pocket

Mid 30s is too old for most top MBA programs unless you are exceptional or ex-military

smart

Hahaha, I am in early 30s life crisis and did MBA. So maybe having family would have been a good option as well😊

I think you should enjoy your youth... go tour the world

Your MBA or your children will be by your bedside when you're dying, you pick which.

Hello,
I have a friend of mine looking to get into customer success or related role! Are there remote entry level positions (that don’t need a degree) that are available?

She has experience in the following roles:
- Logistics Account Executive
- Customer Service Representative
- Customer Service Sales Representative
- Concierge

She really smart and hardworking, I would love to help her find a career - not just a job - that she enjoys. Thanks I’m advance!

How soon is too soon to switch jobs? I went in-house a year ago, after five years as a MidLaw litigator. I always aim to stay at a job for at least two years, and not to move until it’s necessary; I also wanted to stay in this job for awhile as I’m still learning how to be in-house and have lots to grow. But the culture is poor and pay is average. Does it look bad to leave after 1/1.5 years? Is the stink of such a departure significantly lessened at the two year mark? Thanks in advance!

Annual review advice?
I feel very secure in my long-term employment and am doing very well. I work at a midsized boutique with a generally solid culture. I’ve been described as “rising star/golden child” etc., glowing reviews. The thing is that I’ve had a tough year with absent mentors, low interaction/training (there are extenuating circumstances with my SA.) Do I mention what changes I need to see to stay here? Or just go along, accept my good reviews and bonus, and keep my head down?
