How does one get on at a family office?
Anyone recently received a tax manager offer from EY ? I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

Maybe you should stop talking about the other office completely. No need to say negative things but also no need to go on about your positive experiences there.
You should make sure the other office provides feedback for your performance reviews as well. Transferring offices be an option, but you may end up feeling left out and behind there because you are always remote.
You may just need to be more careful about feeding the egos of your local team. They may feel like you don’t like them and don’t want to work with them and only want to work with the other office. They also likely have a lot of pride and think their office is the best. You will build better relationships if you show that you agree this firm and this office is the best place ever. It is like coming from another firm and talking about the other firm all the time. People hate that. It should be different with an office within the same firm but it may not be.
Good luck! I know this is painful and you got put in a tough spot. I recommend focusing on doing what you can to keep this from continuing to impact your performance reviews.
Always try not to get chewed on both ends
Thanks.. I agree - the amount of pettiness is just draining and frustrating. Sometimes it feels like everyday I have to be on edge
