I use one also, I've actually never had a female gyno. I think though, that when I get pregnant, I'd want to see a female gyno.
Out of sheer curiosity. Why when you get pregnant? Zero judgement
I thought I was going to be more comfortable with a female OB and went to one, but she was pretty judgemental and the whole appointment was rushed. I then made an appointment with a male OB at a different practice and he's been great! So it just depends, but definitely do whatever your comfortable with
I had the exact same experience! I’ve actually had better luck with male OBs!
I have a female gynecologist, a male reproductive endocrinologist, and a male OB. Their genders do not matter to me whatsoever; they’re all professionals and are interested in this field from a medical perspective. I picked based on their qualifications and training. Much like you wouldn’t want to be gender discriminated for being a woman in other fields like urology, do not use gender as the sole basis for discriminating against someone to be able to do the job just as well.
I’m comfortable seeing whomever is the most qualified based on their education and training, and am mature enough to acknowledge that for a doctor, they see the vagina as any other organ. Let’s not paint broad strokes using some examples that are very rare to come by, probability wise.
I have one. I don’t care. - no judgement but what’s the hang up?
I guess I like having someone to relate to, especially now that I’m pregnant!

A friend of mine does, she doesn’t really care. I’m with you though

not me. i always thought it was weird
I’m part of an OB group that have both male and female doctors. I like them all equally! 😀
I do! I’ve seen a male gyno for 8 years. doesn’t bother me. he’s very kind.
I prefer male OBs. I’ve tried women, but they are more judgmental (about sex, birth control and any issues I’ve ever brought up that ended up being brushed off- when were actually serious) and try to push BC. I started with a woman OB during my pregnancy, but switched to a mostly male practice- mostly because they have the highest ratings in the state and are exceptional with high risk pregnancies.

Completely agree

Always had a female OB however for delivery if she’s not on call will have the male doctor at the practice
I went to one for the first ultrasound and he was very sexist, making rude comments and being sarcastic that “oh yay look at this you’re pregnant again after your loss”
Happy to say did not go back to him!
I have one. I figured he's just as unfazed looking at my boring hooha as I am reading other people's boring emails doing discovery. All in a day's work.
I have a male OB and just recently had a baby with him as my doctor throughout.
I’ve had Gyn issues and surgery since I was a teen. Always had a male doc. Now I’m pregnant my ob is a man. It works for me and it certainly isn’t sexual quite far from it.

I've had a male gyn my entire life, and just selected a male OB.
