Was there a compensation leak at KPMG yesterday?
Is 95k usd a good salary at 24?
Hi All,
I'm negotiating a compensation offer from Shopify in Europe. The recruiter mentioned starting is at 46k €...which is way lower that what I made in Canada. I'm trying to do my research on the market. Are there any Customer Success Managers or Merchant Success that can share what are the ranges in Europe. Shopify
Thanks
Please help me calm down. My manager has mentioned “a great raise” to expect in July. It finally reflected today and is < $1/hr. Under 3%.
During our last company wide chat they talked about retaining top talent. Now have a meeting with my manager in a day. I’m wondering how to best approach this discussion.
know I’m a top performer. I know if I quit they will be a sinking ship (the team is already drowning with work), and I carry a lot of the burden. Trying to stay professional. HELP!Gallagher

Two years of experience in the current job or in general? Usually this would take place during your annual review and you would have the opportunity to get to the next “Step” pay increase. For a promotion to next gs level, you might have to fight and even interview for the next level. Look at open positions at the next gs level, that’s my advice.
Your real power lies within getting step upgrades and push for a job req for the next gs position. You have to come at them with a strong case on why they need a higher gs level than yours in the office or you have to be willing to move offices.
Hey there! Been with the federal government for over 20 years. Moving GS levels is TOUGH. Moved from a GS7 to GS9 by working as a GS7 for a year and then moving to another fed gov't job and lobbying for a GS9. Moved from GS9 to GS11 after obtaining my master's degree. Can't remember GS11 to GS12. Moved from GS12 to GS13 by applying for/being promoted to an associate director position. My kids are teens now, but looking back, I should have been MUCH more aggressive. Truth is, I probably should have left the fed gov't about 10 years ago. Looking for a job in industry now. Good luck!
Don’t settle. Look for new gs levels every two years or look for grand step increases. Be motivated and show it. Don’t sit on the side lines
