I am currently a retail buyer w/ 10+ YOE, looking to explore new industries. Any other buyers out there who have made the change out of retail recently? Where did you go?

I started in retail, went to manufacturing, and now in medical. It is totally possible and is good to switch industries. It makes you more versatile.

I have about two years of experience in retail planning and am making the jump into consulting (retail consulting, specifically). It’s a pretty big area right now. Not sure what level 10+ years of buying would yield, I’m only going in at an analyst-level

How did you learn to ace the case studies? Did you use an interview coach?

Joined consulting post-MBA, mostly worked in Bain PEG, including a few value creation projects, mostly growth stage. I love this and want to do it as a job all the time. Currently plan to stay in PEG forever, but sometimes I think I might like to be an operating partner in a smallish growth fund (no interest in deal team). Are lateral options down the track (don't want to start as assoc again) possible, and if so how? Am female if relevant - pre-MBA hard technical & middle-mgmt exp in software

I'm currently working in cross sales team. I have 3 YOE. I want to switch to consulting as my current salary is 4.5 LPA. Can you all please let me know what should be my further steps. Which industry is paying good in consulting so that I can complete their certification or something like that.
Not comparing but I have seen people earning 10-15 easily with this YOE. So just wanted to know.

Why do so many jobs on LinkedIn have crazy work experience requirements? I’m burned out of my current role and was looking on LinkedIn for a new job and so many of them, including entry level, require 5+ and even 8+ years of experience. Do they seriously expect someone with 8 years of experience to leave their job for an entry level position? I have 2 years under my belt and I’m not even limiting my search to entry level.

Sales assistant at a drug/grocery store. The manager thinks my coworker does great work but I've seen her putting out new products without rotating stock (so the oldest food will be sold first) and we are always supposed to check the dates when shelving new things. The problem is, I don't really get along with this coworker and I think it's noticeable to management. If I bring this up with our supervisor, are people going to think that I'm just trying to sabotage my coworker so that I will look better than her?
