What are you considering to be “high paying” and what’s minimum wage in your area? Congrats on the associates but unfortunately it’s not a bachelors or higher and currently won’t get you past $20/hr unless you land a top firm (after years of experience).
Minimum Wage is like $12.50/hr. Like $18-$20 an hour. I'm planning on getting a bachelor's but I have to wait at least a year so I can qualify for in state tuition. I would also be living with my parents so my living expenses wouldn't be too high.

Unfortunately wages at your level will still be a little low until you get to a bachelors degree. Many bachelors grad start as low as $20/hr, especially in the social sciences.
What types of jobs are you applying for?
Legal assistant, paralegal, legal receptionist
It's hard when you are still in school. You can look around for some paid internships with city government perhaps. Take what job you need to right now to pay the bills, but remember that gaining experience in your field and making connections may be even more valuable.
I have bad news. My first paralegal job after college paid $15 an hour. It was terrible. You have to really find a good firm that will take care of you.
Unfortunately I'm in my last term and between working night shift full time and going to school full time I don't really have any room to do an internship. Going to school online has made it super difficult to network and make connections. Hopefully since this term is gonna be in person I can get some help.
It's always hard to find a really well-paying role right out of school, especially with no experience. I saw you mentioned that you'll be living with your parents. While it's not ideal, taking the low paying role and excelling at it for a year or so can really help you land in a better place faster... either through a promotion/raise at that firm or moving onto another one that pays better.
