I was contacted by an Amazon recruiter for a remote Sr. Program Manager role. I took and passed the assessment and was moved to the hiring manager round which was scheduled for tomorrow. I got an email tonight saying that the Director of the group decided that the person must be in Seattle. I am in Austin, which is not an option. I’m disappointed! The recruiter will let me know if any remote roles come up but in the mean time, does anyone have any remote Amazon roles that they’d refer me to?
Hi all....just checkng if I am at the avg salary band or lesser for my exp. I have 15 yoe in Support and IT operations with 24 LPA package. Can this be considered avg for the yoe. The reason am asking is many companies that i have applied for have a much lesser salary budget? Not sure if this is the reason companies so not consider for interview.....Tata Consultancy Infosys IBM Accenture Cognizant

Seems like you are doing waaaay more than what you were hired for. In a logistics position of a friend, they had an on-call cellphone, and whomever got it or asked for it on weekends/vacations/holidays, they got a small bonus or allowance depending on the hours/day they had it. Something like that maybe for when you cover for them? On-call time premium or per diem kind of thing?

What are you training the staff to do? When you are point of contact ? Are you covering for them, attending meetings, conference calls, or taking messages for them? What were your original responsibilities when you were hired ?
