I am currently in my final year of my MBA. I’m still not 100% sure what industry I want to land but my targets are Investment banking, Tech, and Consulting. I have experience in corporate finance, taxation, and data analytics. Any advice on pivoting to my target industries would be greatly appreciated

Have you thought about starting with Data Analytics Consulting? You might be able to get some experience that way and then see where the path leads.

Based on your experience I would recommend looking at Pre-sales in FinTech, also implementation or business consulting would also be a good fit. If you can get your resume and cover letter made by a professional resume writer and also look into career coaching if you're feeling stuck and unsure of what to do careerwise.

Yeah, fintech pre-sales is definitely a fast-growing market, so plenty of job opportunities available to get your foot in the door. Also lots of potential as fintech continues to take over finance to find yourself in positions that don't even exist yet.

Hello all, I need one advice.
I am working as SAP consultant for 3.6 years in same company now. I am going to make my first switch in one of the big 4 in SAP only.
The thing is that I don't really enjoy working in SAP. It was handed over to me when I joined my current WITCH company. Now I have decided to switch to Salesforce tech. For which I have already finished the Admin beginner part.(while staying in NP)
Please advise me if I am on the right track.

People who left for the industry in tech, did you initially feel a little unsettled since you would be doing the same project (eg, say due diligence) for the rest of your life at the firm? It just dawned on me..now is the test of do I want to do this forever?

I think I partly enjoyed consulting cause of the variety I could find in projects.

I would like to draft wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents, but would like a resource that has boilerplate provisions to utilize as a reference.

I have been approached by 3 separate HR people at a startup company to interview for a position. I already have a fulltime job that pays well and I only started 6 months ago too. Anyways, the pay was intriguing and the job was a high level scientific advisor so I did interviews. At the last interview, at the end I was told the job was for management but I prepared for a different kind of interview. I am waiting for an offer or rejection letter. I feel peeved that they wasted my time. Red flags?

I'm coming to the end of a contract term and being converted to FTE.

The offer was presented to me by the hiring manager and not HR/Recruiter. To me it is a lower base salary offer than expected, so I asked for info on the total compensation package (base, benefits, bonus, stock/rsu, etc.), which I was told about when they took me on under the contract with the intention to convert.

Hiring manager sends me an email with only standard benefits, no bonus, etc. Are these red flags?

My partner just got his first job offer in Canada (Toronto) as an Account Manager Technical Sales in oil and gas sector. They required 2-5 years sales experience. He has about 8 years of experience selling the same product in an Asian market. They have offered him a base pay of 68k plus some comission (they haven't said what percentage it would be yet). Based on glassdoor, it seems like this is the very bottom of their range. Does this sound fair just because he has no Canadian experience?
