I am currently interviewing with DoorDash for a Program Manager role and they are offering 140tc. This seems extremely low especially since I’m in a HCOL. Is that a fair salary? Or does DoorDash just pay low?
I am a consulting analyst who would like to become an investment banking analyst. I have seen a lot of positions requiring candidates with 1-3 years experiences in IB. I have the skills to do the job requirements but have not got the opportunity to get an interview. Anyone who has been in the industry would like to share some tips or share the type of skills that will stand out when getting screened by HR for the first interview, please let me know. I just need 10 minutes of your time.
Deloitte fish - what are your thoughts on the M&A Integration and Execution Consultant role? Was reached out by a recruiter and am a little unclear as to how/where this role falls in consulting?
I have been offered a position in-house at a $500M-$1B company, mid-sized city LCOL, 10 YOE in private practice. They offered me $120k, w opp for undefined discretionary bonus. No paid parental leave or 401(k) match & only 1 week PTO in first year (but claim they have discretion for more). Is there any way to salvage this? Salary guides suggest TC should be around $200-215k. I want to get my foot in the door but this seems crazy low.

Hey all, first time poster here. My situation is generally that for the past 6 years I built up what was a fairly successful practice in New Jersey that was completely decimated by COVID-19 restrictions. I'm tired of the consumer practice game and want to move into an adjacent field/not be in an attorney role. Ideally looking for something as an employee (starting a family and need some semblance of salary stability for their sake).
Any advice? In Jersey City, so open to NYC-centric ideas.
Hows it working with Capgemini Invent,

Need help/advice when comparing two offers:
P&G supply chain management:
Location: small town in PA
JPMC change management analyst:
I’m struggling to decide because I live in NYC, so I’d just be living at home to save on costs. But for P&G, I’d be moving closer to my gf who’s going to DC area. Thoughts?
“We’re opening it up to everyone!”
Two days later, me: “Here are a bunch of ideas.”
“Oh, thanks... We already solved it but appreciate your willingness to step up. We’ll look at it if we need more.” 😳

Has anyone had success renegotiating pay while remaining in the same position? The last two years have significantly changed my local market and the less-than-inflation federal pay raises are not cutting it. I'd be seeking 3 steps within my current grade, but I don't know if my management even has a mechanism to make the change if they wanted to. I am aware of the Quality Step Increase, but I don't think that's the solution here.
What if i am rejected in first client interview in LTI after joining and after how many more they will ask you to leave

I have AWS (CLF-C01, SAA-C03) and Azure (DP-203, AZ-305) certifications. Interested in knowing what type of work, role, practice may suit me or really what the most logical career move would be? Recruiter approached me with an opportunity. I didn't know google had Data Engineers.
How is the interview process for Data Engineer and what can I expect?
I am interested in switching to Product Management for a tech company but not ready to jump ship yet. Currently I am a Advisory Senior Associate and have the opportunity to take on a Project Manager role at my current tech client. This is not where I want to take my career but I will do it if it may increase my chances of breaking into Product in near future. Would having such on my resume/gaining this experience help? Do recruiters looks for this? Thanks in advance.
Question for everyone; what are some of the better job boards for underrepresented groups in tech? Non-traditional job boards that promote inclusivity and diversity hiring?

I found a new job (huzzah!) and turned in my 2 weeks notice yesterday. But I started feeling crummy last night and went to the doctor for a COVID test today. Lab results already came back positive. So now I feel super guilty about basically calling in sick to my last two weeks of work...should I try and push out my start date to help out current employer? Feel like current supervisor is going to throw a hissy fit.
Hi fishes, I need some career advice. I have an MBA in HRM And I am currently working in L&D however over the past year I have been trying to get into Analytics just because I thought it will fit more with my lifestyle (I need a job that can be done remotely and not much communication because of timezones differences) however my husband and I keep noticing that HR is my passion but I already feel too invested in Analytics. I know titles are an issue in all industries... but can anyone help me understand the difference between the functions of HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, and HR Assistant?
recently we were acquired by a public company. The husband and wife who started the company gave their daughter a pay raise and a huge jump in her job title. She has minimal experience and is very under qualified for her job. Many employees are very upset about her sudden promotion with lack of experience and are coming to me upset. They also gave her full admin capability in our HRIS system with access to PII and confidential information, she is not in HR and no other directors have
I recently got laid off and am really grateful to have received a job offer pretty quickly. It’s for an outsourced HR company where I would be HR/Payroll Manager for about 10 small to mid-size clients. Curious people’s thoughts on if this would be a step back career wise? I worry not working for a dedicated company could hurt my resume. My job titles before this were HR Business Partner, Recruiting Operations Lead and HR Specialist.
What do you think is a realistic salary for a HR Manager with 12 years experience in small companies (80-200 employees), MBA, SHRM-SCP in Hampton Roads VA area?
Story Time: We had a team member quit this morning without notice. When the management team asked why he was being so unprofessional and not giving two weeks' notice. The team member’s response was, “would you give me two weeks' notice before firing me”? No one knew how to respond to this.
What KPIs do you give upper management to set hiring expectations for senior tech talent? What tools do you use to calculate/track applicants vs recruiters screens and submissions vs HM interviews which lead to offers?
What’s the most wild story you’ve been given as to why an employee can’t get the vaccine / wear a mask per your company guidelines?
Getting frustrated that I can't even land a job interview. I'm a recruiter with 5 years of experience in agency looking for a remote opportunity in Europe... I'm kinda tired of doing only recruitment... I want to find an alternative where I can keep doing recruitment but also assume other responsibilities in HR :(
I had a company offer me a position under the original range and after I’ve turned down the role multiple times they have come back with an offer with a better title and $30k more. This huge shift put a bad taste in my mouth, but wasn’t sure if I was begin too critical because I wouldn’t operate that way as a recruiter.
Fellow HR Professionals,
Curious to know how you are handling current inflation rates versus 3% merit increases. Are you adjusting merit increases for inflation? If not, how are you handling those conversations?
Currently taking HR certification courses with Drexel and was planning to also do the pHR certification, but because I don’t have a degree in HR and I haven’t “formally” been working in HR, I don’t qualify, any suggestions on certifications that can help me develop my current office manager position into full HR?
Ok, who is ready for the real talk about diversity?
I have been in various customer service/support roles for the entirety of my career but am now interested in transitioning into a HR role. I am on the "Bench" with Disney GHRO (since March 1st) and have no idea if/when I will receive an offer. I have also been invited to interview for HR Contact Center Associate - Work from Home, ERC DLS Support at Amazon. Does anyone have any insight into either of these roles or advice? I do not yet have a degree but plan to go back this fall. Thanks.
Looking to resign tomorrow. My direct manager has been out sick but the head of my team is in. He hired me initially before we hired my current direct manager. Does it matter who I resign to? I don’t want to disrespect anyone but also I am trying to resign before they lay me off and tomorrow the head of our team placed an early morning mtg. Smells like a lay off…
