You want freedom or benefits lol
Shocking that an RIA firm would not offer benefits and a 401k - to me that signals they are too small, too cheap, or don’t care about the EX - strongly consider ML - many career progression opportunities for you there. In this economic environment you are wise to be thinking of potential recession impacts - go after the salary - save as much as you can - max your 401k - get the experience - ask for stretch assignments - show your worth !
Don’t go to an RIA until you’re ready to have a book of business
They’re hot leads though RIA unless they have a network through a BD you’re pounding phones
What is the ML job?
Agree 100% with ML1
I'm surprised to see how low the pay is ... how many years of experience do you have? The pay seems low and lower.
1.5yrs in financial services and 1.5yr in life insurance. They said once I become a “service advisor” then I would be bumped to $82k, which could be a year
No benefits? In this economy????
I think RIA is a better route overall, but this RIA, has some question marks. What market are you in, I’m hiring in a few areas.
Also, at that income level, i assume a younger age, and they may not need benefits (can stay on parents) or purchase third party insurance for a few thousand.
