It depends on your urgency for a green card and what your options are for working beyond your H1B time period. You can only extend H1b beyond 6 years with an approved i140 that has been approved for 6 months or more. Unless you have another visa type you can work on, or can move overseas with this new job later in time, it's probably best to focus on your ability to stay in the US for work in the short term

I don't think you can extend your visa with a "new" employer using an approved PERM from a different/previous employer. But maybe I'm wrong.
I am in the same boat and planning to jump ship. I think 2 years is enough time to get your I140 with the new company. As far as I know, you don’t need to wait 6 months after I140 approval to file for H1B extension. In fact you can file for a 1 year extension based on approved Perm if I140 has been filed
Woth 2 years left on the h1b would recommend sticking it out
Would recommend sticking it out and getting ur green card.Aftwr that your opportunities will be endless

Thanks Vishnu, great point indeed
I am in the same boat as you. After much of thought I have decided to wait and get the GC.
I’m hoping there will be opportunities late next year, however if I get too miserable here, I might jump anyway.
Ah I was considering moving to BCG after GC! What’s so miserable being there?
Can you share your timeline with Prevailing Wages and Recruitment? Where are you now?
Unfortunately it is the PWD. 🥲

Not to get your hopes too high, but you may get your GC as early as this December
Could be fast in other place, but with my firm it would take 2-3 months to even file i140 after PERM😅

With two years left, it would be best to stick it out at your current company so you can secure your priority date and get your I-140 approval.
