I would like to know the interview process of Hitachi Vantara. The first round of Solutions Architect interview happened yesterday. Can someone provide an insight about number of interviews and how many days does it take to complete the entire process? This was specific to services business line. Appreciate your response Cheers! Hi All, I recently interviewed at Amazon and Google for software engineer and passed both interviews. I have an offer on the table from Amazon but with Google I am officially in team matching and my recruiter tells me that the queue is pretty backed up now and it can take a long time. My question is should I take the Amazon offer now or decline Amazon and hold out for Google? I have heard that Google has better wlb/benefits. But I'm scared to decline Amazon without a guaranteed job offer.
I know it isn't popular now, but I suggest learning at least one client-server non-web framework (Java or C#.Net or Objective C). The lessons it will teach you about user interface design will be invaluable to future positions.
Also, while a bit old, this classic of Software Engineering is a good read for where you want to go:

Thanks! I’ll definitely give that book a look. I do have some minor experience with building apps using Spring from a couple of years ago, so doing some brushing up on that & the different application architecture types can’t hurt.
Personally, I would look at some front end job roles and see what they're looking for - you'll likely see some commonalities that can help you in figuring out what kind of certs to get. Maybe check LinkedIn or some of the specialised job boards
