Got an offer for Electronic Arts (EA) Manager for North America (Canada) remote for 100k base CAD, 15 percent bonus and around low 40ks RSU (assuming it's USD). How much higher can the base be in Canada for EA for a Manager role? Base seems low even at 110 CAD. It's a corporate role so not anything technical or product related. Most or all the more senior managers are in the USA. Electronic Arts (EA)
Welcome to claims! There is definitely growth, but you'll find out quickly that there is high stress, high burn out. Claims is not for everyone but I highly recommend it to people looking for a challenge. As far as the other areas you mentioned, there's currently a SIU Fire consultant position open at my company and the salary band is listed is $94-141k. If you're interested in management, you could easily climb the ladder and make 100k+ as well.
Agreed, claims isn't necessarily for the weak but I think there's a lot of potential for growth and you can see a pretty good trajectory for yourself
It’s pretty easy to make 75k after switching to another company post training for property. Senior positions go to about 120k but most people will need about 3 years for that. Tech spec positions pay up to 130k. Then there’s also working as an independent adjuster. If your good you can make over 100k in a hurricane season. You will have no personal life though. As the other comment said, it’s high stress and very challenging. When you got it, you got it though. Management for some reason doesn’t seem to pay as well.
Property claims is a great career that can be extremely lucrative in the long term. (I’ve been in the industry 20+ years and am not sure what the acronyms you’re using are…perhaps they’re specific to your employer.) My recommendation is to get as much experience as you can with all perils, don’t pigeon hole yourself. This will set you up for success in many future roles.
I posted this before with no answers, how do you get into WC claims. Is it a license I need outside of P&C license?
There is a license that includes WC and P&C for TX if I recall right. Depending on the state and company that might be all you need. Honestly, I just post for an entry level position with a major carrier of your not already with one. They’ll usually pay for licensing and train you. If you’re already with a carrier ask your management team to shadow it, meet some folks, and then apply if you like it.
You can go on to the highway and find the salary ranges for all of those jobs. Siu, f&t, urbi etc
