I am feeling depressed :(

I ended a 5 year relationship back in March because he was toxic and I was very close to depression. Since then I’ve lost 30 pounds and found happiness again. Now due to a serious of events, I’m falling back into that depression. I’ve already gained 10lbs.
This one seems scarier & no matter how many times I tell myself to get up. I just can’t. I feel defeated.
I know I don’t want to end my life because better days will come, but I can’t shake the thought. :/
Any advice would be appreciated.

I don’t think that most people they find in the lake went in it willingly. Water makes it too easy to cover up murders. Washes away evidence. But it’s dismissed because most people they found had also been drinking. But people just disappearing miles away from the Lake don’t just fall in it. Yes, suicide happens. But many of these cases show zero signs of anything like that. The constant MO is being out with friends having fun. The friend vanishes. Then is found in the lake weeks later.

Has anyone ever felt so anxious and depressed they couldn’t sleep all night? Body tense and uncontrollable shaking? I woke up in the middle of the night and was pacing back and forth in my room, feeling like I was about to suffocate. I haven’t felt this bad in a LONG time. And it terrified me. What makes me sad is that its really just my negative anxious thoughts that caused it.

What should the reaction be if the vaccines end up only being reasonably effective. Say we end up with a going forward rate of 100,000 dead per year. Or 50,000. Is there a point at which you say you were willing to take the risk and move back to a normal life (gatherings, restaurants, travel, etc.)? Recognizing they lockdowns can temporarily reduce counts, but not eliminate the disease.

Hello: I've had cats and just took my 12 year old cat for his 6 month check up. We have been watching his thyroid levels which are a little elevated but this time his calcium is elevated. Everything else is normal and vet wants abdominal ultrasound to see for cancer. Has anyone had this? Left message for vet to discuss... obviously upset. My confession is that I actually hate Target (I’m 27F). They got cute shit but it’s all overpriced and the quality is more often than not pretty terrible.

Somewhat often when I’m talking, I use a wrong but similar word to what I meant to say. For example I might say horse instead of deer or say someone’s name wrong and not realize it. My family and friends are used to it but I’m nervous this might show up in a professional context and I might not even realize 🫣

I moved from FTE at a big brand tech company to a contract role in a smaller big tech with an aged brand. It's a good move because I'll learn a ton in the new org and now actually have better career prospects. Still, the brand and stigma for contracting are making me feel insecure :/
