Hi all. My doctor just told me he’s putting me on 6 weeks of disability leave due to a lingering injury that has become complicated. My year review is in the next couple weeks at my job. At what point do I bring this up? I was supposed to negotiate my raise and talk about the hybrid schedule that was promised to me but never given. My boss is manipulative, but I’m a top performer. He’s not gonna be happy that I have to be gone for 6 weeks. What should I do? Any advice is appreciated!! Thx
That feeling when the Medical Review team agrees that, yes, on reflection the bold new messaging and unique positioning isn't actually an overclaim.
That feeling when this means all the materials need to be redone in short order.
Hi all. Looking for advice. I’m trying to decide between 2 job offers (same salary) but different positions. One is a study director (essentially a project manager for a medical device company) and the other is in Quality Assurance (medical device company as well). Study director position company is slightly smaller but growing. I really want growth possibilities and a good career future. Any advice?

Team activity to go to a theme park. 10 weeks and haven’t told anyone at work. Pretending to feel sick or disinterested. I’ve already made up food poisoning to explain diet changes. Lies are tough!
Has anyone had a vaginal birth and had their doctor clear them after more than 6 weeks? My company pays 100% of maternity leave if for medical reasons, but the rest is unpaid. Wondering if there is any way I can get more than 6 weeks. After my last kid I didn’t even feel semi normal until 6 months, and I can’t imagine going back to work after 6 weeks. Going to talk to my doctor and not looking to game the system, just genuinely curious.
So I got 2 offers, 1 at a well-known firm (that I previously worked at, not as an atty) that offered 80K plus full benefits (100% health coverage, PTO, sick days, discretionary bonus & 1800 billable req.) Their a little old school in their methods but I do see the younger gen. coming in to make changes. 2nd offer is at a newer firm however i’ve heard great things, and they offered 80k, unl. PTO, 1500 billable hours, bonus incentives qrtrly, & 50% health ins. WHY can’t I make a decision? HELP
Any medical writer/ scientific writer here?
A Financial Planner pitched Index Universal Life insurance leveraging Kai-Zen strategy. Basically pay 18k premiums per year and lender pays another 15k. Then years 6-10 lender contributes 17k. After 15 years, the cash value is used to pay of the lender and then by the time I am 65, I can start tax free distributions of around 160k/yr. Anyone heard of this strategy? Not even sure if I want more than my term and disability. Thanks!
Help. I work with 5 female accounts - all either an AD or senior. In every meeting I seem to be the only one with no support - either I work on projects that gets least attention or escalated attention (only to be fingerpointed after for not “sharing at the right time”), no back-up when I am ooo/sick, no support when a client asks for things I clearly had been waiting their internal approval about, and apparently everything I do is wrong or met with eye roll when I ask for review. What do I do?
I graduated in June with a dual BSBA in healthcare management and humans resources management/organizational management. I have 12 years experience as a medical assistant. I'm having trouble finding my first job as a healthcare manager. After submitting so many applications and receiving so many rejection emails I've become frustrated. Any advice anyone can give is greatly appreciated.

Character and fitness issue. I took and passed the bar a year ago but I did not go through admission. My Ube score can be transferred anywhere but I'm a little anxious about character and fitness.
I've had some cards charged off and I was late on paying my taxes this year. The reason I was late for pay my taxes because my dog was ill and I did everything I could to save his life. I understand that I didn't do the correct thing from a financial perspective.
Im prepping for an interview and everyday as im prepping I get emails declining me for other companies. Every time I get them I feel like my self esteem goes down and I start to wonder if ill even get this job offer. What does everyone else do to fight this feeling?
Very off-topic post. This should have been on Facebook or something, but what the heck, ill ask here. So when Covid lockdown started Cult.fit" class="linkified" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" >Cult.fit also had to stop their sessions. However, they opened, slowly and steadily, with limited classes and stuff. But they have not yet started the football and sports conditioning sessions. I loved those classes and would be great if those could come back. Question: Does anyone have any idea when the football or other outdoor sessions are going to start?
Thinking of pulling plug and starting my own small consultancy. Have a list of potential clients and am just running some numbers. I am family of 5. What should I budget for medical insurance?
Hi! I’m doing some research on employee benefits (medical insurance, 401k, HSA/FSA, commuter benefits) and was hoping to connect with People specialists or HR professionals in the comp & benefits space. I’m trying to better understand any pain points or challenges you might face with utilization/enrollment. Anyone interested in connecting? Thank you!

What are the consequences of quitting V50 four months in to join a federal agency? The agency is my dream job that I will see myself in for 8-10 years. Any chance the firm will be annoyed but understanding? Or will they just be upset and annoyed. I know this can be seen as a jerk move but there was no way for me to know that I’d get this agency job when I accepted the firm job. Agency’s job announcements typically get 250+ applications per vacancy.
My agency is making salary cut backs cause of covid-19. Whole agency at 80%. Because I'm on a junior salary in Manchester that means 80% is less than minimum wage. Do I have any rights?
Please help me choose between the two. I’m trying to get into heels, and am looking for something classic that can be dressed up or down
I am new in advertising - if you don’t make the a-list top 10 but get a random mention as Agency Breakthrough or Agency Standout or whatever - is that real or is that a consolidation price (“thanks for playing”)?
Has anyone had a sleep study done? I’ve been consistently getting 9-10 hours of sleep for months now but feel just as tired as when I was getting less. I’m wondering if a sleep study might shed some light on why that’s the case, but would love to hear from anyone else who has done one.

I’m a public health educator planning to pivot to a career in instructional design. I’ve been taking LinkedIn Learning courses and have enrolled a mastermind course/community to gain an understanding of the lingo and theory, and eventually get practice with the commonly used tools. A lot of it mirrors health education but of course, there are nuances with eLearning delivery.

Had an Excel assessment yesterday as the second to last step in an interview process. I was using a new computer and long story short, had some technical difficulties (or maybe just my own incompetence under stress) and ended up only getting through half of the test. I’m on the fence about emailing my recruiter and explaining the circumstances/asking for a retest. Don’t want to come off like I’m complaining but also don’t want this to be the reason I don’t move forward. Any advice appreciated…
Any advice on how to pick the best company for me when offered a position from more than 1 company? I've been interviewing extensively with 4 companies, and I believe 2 are getting ready to send offers. If I receive more than 1 offer - how do I choose? I compared benefits, pros/cons, compared them on Glassdoor, questioned them about growth opportunities, asked about their culture.....anything I am missing? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
