I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

If you can hold out another 6 months to see how the economy is doing, I'd probably wait. If we come out of this recession then it'd be a great time to switch. If we continue to fall into a depression, the last place you want to be is the newest member of a team.
This was incredibly sound…. Thank you. I’m framing this.
I think you will have better options than B4 with a top MBA
In my experience you just have to know when to say “no” when there is scope creep and additional SOWs, etc. I’ve seen people in my firm do 70+ hours with terrible work for that reason
Big 4 is just Big 4 - don’t do it. Also, are you doing at PMBA or a traditional MBA at a top business school? Traditional being FT student on campus
Only rumblings I’ve heard about layoffs are on this app. For my team at least, we’re all over booked with a shallow bench

I think we should probably demystify the Big 4. They have big name value if you live in our bubble, but outside our bubble, they barely register.
You have an MBA. If you want to be compensated well and work in a cool environment where you’re valued and paid well, you have a lot on your horizon. My friend Ben got his MBA and went to Wal Mart. A guy from my fantasy league got his MBA and then invested in a small restaurant company (but he’s doing something innovative, so it’s cool).
If you want pay, think big. Secondly, you can do 4-6 years out in corporate America, and then return to consulting and command a higher salary because you are worth more.

Are you saying you’re at a T10 MBA program and you want to switch to big4?
Something about this post sounds weird to me. More context op?

I mean bench can get big this time of year but with macro factors I don’t know if many are hiring due to that
