Nope, not at all. Do it. I would communicate when you know, but I wouldn’t feel obligated to give eight month’s notice that you’ll be using all your vacation over the span of six months. That’s pretty reasonable and can be accommodated fairly simply. It’s not the same as trying to take a whole month off at once.
Thank you! I appreciate your view

You also shouldn’t feel bad about taking your allowed vacation every year if that’s what you want. The company has agreed to that if you want to take it. Take it and don’t think twice about it.

Take them, it’s part of your comp package
Vacation is a big deal even at 24. I used to think this way bad got burnt out at 25. Take mental health days and vacations and USE them to unplug from work. Don’t get burnt out working for Chase in DE. Not worth it.
Also yes it’s not a big deal and 8 months notice is overkill.

You should be able to use your vacation days any way you want with advance notice. However, just a few things to note: you are using the majority of your days in March, April, and May, so that’s a lot of time off in one quarter. May or may not be a big deal depending on how your projects etc are laid out. You also might get really burnt out October-February. You may want to consider reserving some days for a spontaneous trip or mental health day.
Thanks! Ideally should not be a big issue as most of the work is periodic instead of project based
The earlier you put in your request, the better chance you'll get to use them and not be blocked by greedy coworkers wanting the same days. Plus it shows your boss that you're invested for the longer term. If you get denied 8 months out, it's time to start looking for a new opportunity.
At first I thought you were in DE aka Germany, and wondered why you were hesitant to take your well earned PTO then realized DE as in Delaware then your question made sense. Isn't that sad...

Are these rollover days f r om now? Check your firm's policy, but you may not be able to roll so many over.
Hi - good question. They aren’t rollover we just start with 23 (20 vacation and 3 personal) on Jan 1. Optionally can rollover 5 from previous year but these requests are rarely granted
