Trying to decide between 3 offers remote/Columbus
Square is 84k salary 5k bonus and 80k stocks vesting over 4 years
Veeva is 100k salary 20k bonus and 25k Stocks each year forever
Teletracking is 125k cash 5k bonus
I know about Square the most and if they paid closer to Veeva and Teletracking I’d probably go there but it seems like they underpay.
The Veeva culture seems really good but it’s a sustaining engineer position for year 1 so debugging

If you’re thinking about leaving, the best time to look for a new job is when you are comfortable in your current job
Agree with others who have said the best time to look externally is when you don’t need to make a move. And many financial firms offer some remote work flexibility (we offer up to 2 days per week remote). But “lower than market value” could be relative, based on your function, type of firm, and location. Are you comfortable sharing any of this information?
I am 15% below market rate in NYC in the tech industry.
A lot of other companies are also offering WFH flexibilities and maybe market value compensation and better benefits. Doesn’t hurt to look if the grass is indeed greener on the other side.
Have you tried asking for more money?
Yes, I brought up my concerns at my promotion offer that I was below market rate and was told they were comfortable with what they offered me at the bottom end of my salary band with no real consideration for my market rate request.
I’ve worked from home for about 8 years and can’t imagine going back to the office. I think with this new remote / hybrid model, companies who used to underpay employees but offered a flexible schedule can’t really do that anymore.
Look at the internal positions in Deloitte. Benefits are great and most internal positions are remote.
