I feel for you so much. It’s not easy and the best way through is to draw firm lines about what you can and can’t plug into.
1) Use technology to your advantage — DND mode, send the family chat a sweet message “We are in a super crunch period at work so I’ll be quiet on here for a couple weeks, but I’ll check in a few times a week!” mute the group chat, set a reminder to check it on Monday and Thursday for any logistically urgent stuff.
2) Mobilize your helpers — can SO step it up at home, can you say “fuck it for the next two weeks we’re ordering in 3 nights a week and doing frozen meals 2 nights a week,” can a close family member be your proxy and make sure critical intel about holiday plans gets to you, etc
3) Dedicate sacred time for what re-energizes you — if it’s a long bath even at 11pm, a glass of wine and no screens on the sofa w SO, whatever… calendarize it if you have to
These are very helpful, thank you 🙏🏼 Tactical steps FTW.

If you know you’re going to be doing 12 hour days, try to carve out 1 hour breaks here and there where you can focus on the trip planning or time with your husband or something for yourself. But reserve that time for something you want to do. The work will get done and you have to know that. Work some time in there for things you enjoy to help maintain the balance. Hope this helps.
